SndSampler 2.8 - SndSampler is an application program which will record and edit System 7 sound resource files (files of type 'sfil'). The selected file is expected to contain exactly one Macintosh sound ('snd ') resource. The sounds may be 8- or 16-bit, mono or stereo. Sample rates of up to 65,535 Hz are supported. All recording is done in RAM, so be generous. Also, try to keep your sounds reasonably sized. SndSampler may not work correctly for sounds greater than 10 or 20 megabytes. According to Apple, 'snd ' resources are not supposed to be larger than 16 megabytes, anyhow.
